With over 300 apparel companies in the lower mainland, the BC fashion industry offers you many choices. Exciting, vibrant local companies such as Sugoi, Mac & Jac, lululemon, Off The Wall and Flosport, hire our graduates.
Designed in consultation with fashion industry leaders, the degree offers several options upon graduation. You may work for a large company and specialize as a member of a design, production or marketing team or for a smaller design house where you would engage in all aspects of the business. Some graduates take an entrepreneurial or freelance route, while others have found rewarding careers in wardrobe for theatre, television and film productions.
Kwantlen Fashion Design and Technology graduates interested in teaching high school clothing and textiles may be eligible for entry to UBC’s Bachelor of Education.
