Courses - General Education
General Education Component of Bachelor of Interior Design
All Bachelor degrees require that students take general education courses in addition to discipline specific courses. For an Interior Design degree, all timetabled IDSN courses are required plus the following general education requirements must be met:
- ENGL 1100 or an approved writing intensive course (3 credits) prior to entering year two of the program.
- Three elective courses (9 credits) from approved disciplines listed below.
- One elective at the 3000/4000 level (3 credits) from approved disciplines listed below.
Elective courses can be taken in any of these disciplines, with a strong recommendation that students select from at least two of these disciplines, especially if this is the candidates first baccalaureate. No course may be presented to fulfill more than one graduation requirement from Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
