Health Care Assistant Program graduates (formerly Home Support-Resident Care Attendant) provide front line care to older people and people with disabilities both in their own home and in a facility. The job is very rewarding as you are caring for people with complex care needs and helping them maintain their independence as long as possible or supporting them through the final stages of their life.
The program provides you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to be able to provide person-centered care through formal class-room instruction, laboratory instruction, and practice and hands-on experience with residents/clients and families in care facilities and in their homes.
