Word CloudWelcome to the Office of Student Risk and Judicial Affairs at Kwantlen Polytechnic University

The Office of Student Risk & Judicial Affairs provides advice and
guidance in the areas of student risk management and is responsible for administering KPU's Student Conduct Policy (C.21).

Student Risk Management

Student risk management includes managing and developing a variety of functions and processes that mitigate the University's exposure to unnecessary risk relating to students.  These risks may include fieldtrips, practicum placements. students exhibiting behaviours of concern and events involving high risk activities. We can help you draft informed consents, provide guidance on how to deal with certain behaviours and identify strategies to reduce the risk.

If you have any questions regarding Student Risk Management, please contact Catherine Dubé, Director Student Risk and Judicial Affiars at catherine.dube@kwantlen.ca.

Student Judicial Affairs

The student judicial process at KPU exists to complement the university's effort to maintain a community that fosters ethical development and responsible decision making of its students, and to give students the opportunity to learn from incidents of misconduct. The Office of Student Judicial Affairs (OSJA)  is responsible for administering KPU's Student Conduct Policy (C.21). We can assist with addressing student misconduct, conflict resolution, mediation, and restorative dialogues.  If you have questions about KPU's Student Conduct Policy, or have been harmed by someone's actions, the OSJA is here to assist you.

If you have any questions regarding Student Judicial Affairs, please contact us at judicialaffairs@kwantlen.ca or at 604 599-2950.
