Join us for the Student Leadership Dialogues, FREE monthly offerings hosted by Student Life and Development on various topics around leadership. These are informal presentations and discussions given by the Student Life team and guests.

Conflict Management (Part 2): Having trouble working things out with someone in your life (maybe a class-mate, friend or family member)? Conflict can be stressful and interfere with productivity and success. Come and join us for a fun and interactive session where we will learn about and practice some non-defensive listening skills and ways to express one's self. (Note: it is not necessary to have taken part in the first session on conflict styles held in May, 2009).

Taking Care of Yourself as a Leader
Presented by Kurt Penner and Theresa VoorsluysAs leaders, we all tend to malfunction when over-tired, discouraged, frustrated or encountering difficult people. This session will deal with common problems and self-awareness as well as strategies to build balance, resilience and self-care while in leadership. Participants will discuss challenging issues, warning signs, and strategies for self-care, concluding by creating application(s) to their own situation. A door prize is highly probable.
Coffee and desserts will be served.
