Colin Green
B.A. (Hons) University of Winnipeg, B.Ed. and M.A. University of Manitoba, Ph.D. University of British Columbia.Colin joined the History Department at Kwantlen in 2006. His research on militarism and militarization during the Nationalist Era in China brings together comparative military studies, modern Chinese history, and Asian-European international relations. He has made a number of presentations on the impact of militarization, both in English and in Mandarin. Colin’s teaching interests include Chinese History, the Overseas Chinese, East Asian History (China, Japan, Korea), Offshore China (Hong Kong and Taiwan), World History, and Military History (war and society, gender and war, comparative martial culture, militarism and militarization).
